DETAILS: I designed and built this website from scratch. The site provided a directory of writing conferences, centers, festivals, retreats, and residencies to writers. This site could be browsed by location using an interactive map or searched (using specific fields or a full site search). Database integration allowed quick content updates and a submission form allowed new programs to be listed; there were short listings for free and full listings with graphics and logos for paid members. Space for advertising was reserved for the right side column. This site used HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and FileMaker and had its own RSS feed for updates. The original design is included below as well.
